(SEL) SEP Journal 4

Today I observed grade 10. I have so much observation because the Sampoerna Academy Head of Mathematics Department asked us to only observe on the first week of SEP. So, let me continue my story. What I like from this class is the way of the teacher teach mathematics. I think the teacher implement all of the method of teaching that I learnt in Teaching and learning Mathematics course. How the teacher manage the class, how the teacher take students engagement in the class, and how the teacher implement the learning activities well.

Not only the teaching method, the teacher also good deliver the material. In mathematics, there is a sequence to guiding the students to have an organize mathematical thinking. To reach that, the teacher should include 3 important components of mathematical thinking. There are how students see the pattern, how the students connect new information to the prior knowledge, and how the student reasoning. These component has been covered by the teacher in an organize flow of teaching. I love the way the teacher teach math!
